Molly Morgan Photography THINGS TO DO IN SANTA FE SANTA FE PLAZA The Santa Fe Plaza is a National Historic Landmark in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico in the style of traditional Spanish-American colonial cities. It has been the heart of downtown Santa Fe for nearly 400 years, and the Plaza remains the central part of the city, hosting Indian and Spanish Markets and other annual events as well as community gatherings, concerts and more. CANYON ROAD Visit a street dedicated to the country’s finest art. On a road that encourages a pleasant stroll, you will be able to see fine art from artists throughout the United States and the world, all in one place. With a selection featuring everything from traditional to abstract contemporary, collectors have the benefit of finding incredible and noteworthy original work. Many of the galleries on Canyon Road have established reputations with major art collectors, major art fairs, and museums throughout the country. See for yourself why Canyon Road continues to attract major collectors who know art and especially know where to find the finest. Canyon Road, in addition to a fine selection of galleries, also offers Santa Fe’s finest jewelry and dining establishments, suggesting a complete experience for your Canyon Road visit. CATHEDRAL BASILICA OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI The crowning achievement of Archbishop Lamy's church construction in New Mexico, the Saint Francis Cathedral was built between 1869 and 1886 and designed in the French Romanesque Revival style. Although its design contrasts the surrounding adobe buildings, the cathedral remains one of Santa Fe's most celebrated landmarks. MUSEUM OF INDIAN ARTS & CULTURE The museum invites visitors to tap into the story, spirit and sprawling cultural landscapes of the region’s Native peoples, past and present. Exhibitions highlight Native scholarship, oral histories, song and displays of select objects from the most comprehensive archaeological collections in the United States. The museum’s close work with Native communities ensures that the visitor experience is authentic, culturally sensitive and inspired by the beauty and power of Native art, language, ritual and other cherished expressions of daily life. SANTA FE OPERA HOUSE Santa Fe Opera is an American opera company, located 7 miles north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. After creating the Opera Association of New Mexico in 1956, its founding director, John Crosby, oversaw the building of the first opera house on a newly acquired former guest ranch of 199 acres. TAKE A PASEO POTTERY CLASS Paseo Pottery is located in the Meow Wolf neighborhood — the new location in town for artists to reside. The studio is run by Angela, the studio manager, and a team of volunteers excited to share their love for clay. Paseo Pottery holds daily experiences, weekly classes, and monthly events. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive workspace and do our best to welcome people from all populations in Santa Fe’s diverse community. OJO CALIENTA - NATURAL HOT SPRINGS Steeped in history and tradition, Ojo Caliente is one of the country’s oldest health spas. Tucked between the rugged desert cliffs and cottonwood-lined bosque, our hot springs await soakers seeking healing and respite. Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi - Molly Morgan Photography THINGS TO EAT SAZON Originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. Chef Fernando Olea is known for his creative Mexican dishes and inspired degustación tasting menus at Sazon. Utilizing locally sourced produce and meats, you'll find regional delicacies like chapulines (grasshoppers) infused with olive oil and citrus and chiles on top of taquitos or a rotating selection of moles. Pair with tequila or mezcal from their generous selection. GERONIMO Geronimo’s adobe-walled dining room, marked by stately antler chandeliers, is Santa Fe’s fine dining go-to. Housed in the historic Borrego House (built in 1756), chef Sllin Cruz pulls from global influences in vibrant dishes like a wasabi Caesar salad, potato Parmigiano gnocchi and the tellicherry-rubbed elk tenderloin. Post-meal, linger in the lounge bar for a nightcap. CHILE LINE BREWING & PIZZERIA A deliciously dynamic duo, Chile Line Brewery and Pizzeria da Lino are housed in the same building – and for good reason. Start at Pizzeria Da Lino where you can munch on toasty bottomed, cheesy pizza straight from the brick oven and then make your way over to Chile Line Brewing for a little liquid dessert (and trust us, it's satiating). Chile Line’s rare rauchbiers (smoked beers) pair well with wood-fired pizzas from da Lino, but if you don't fancy moving venues then no worries. Chile Line also has a pretty impressive menu, so don't think you'll go hungry. KAKAWA CHOCOLATE HOUSE Kakawa Chocolate House is renowned for its organic farming practices, devotion to chocolate history and its delectable chocolates and drinking elixirs (of course). Drinking chocolates include rich European-style chocolate or spiced Mesoamerican chocolate. Try their signature truffles and caramels, including seasonal flavors like prickly pear, mezcal, horchata and cherry chili. CHOCOLATE MAVEN Chocolate Maven is a delightful restaurant that specializes in desserts and baked goods, as well as brunch. The exterior of the building might not lead one to believe that there is anything worth looking into, but once inside you'll be treated to sumptuous treats like green eggs and ham (with green chile sausage patties), strawberry waffles, and carrot cake cupcakes. Outdoors on a bright day, the children will love the breakfast options. THINGS TO DRINK SANTA FE MARGARITA TRAIL The Santa Fe Margarita Trail promises to be one of your most memorable Santa Fe adventures. This one-of-a-kind margarita experience allows you to taste more than 40 of the best margaritas in the world. SANTA FE BREWING COMPANY Santa Fe has been our home since 1988. That’s when we decided that “big beer” could be better beer, and we made the first batch of Santa Fe Pale Ale. Since then, our fam has grown, and we’ve been innovating, evolving, listening, fermenting, experimenting, occasionally failing (R.I.P. Gnarly Root) and crafting interesting, highly-drinkable beverages for thirsty people everywhere. There’s no place like Santa Fe. And there’s no brewery like Santa Fe Brewing Company. THE TEAHOUSE SANTA FE Nestled among the hills and trees of Santa Fe, New Mexico's historic Canyon Road, you will find a high desert oasis of worldly flavor and refreshment, The Tea House Santa Fe. With a passion for discovering premium loose-leaf organic teas and unique botanicals and the drive to share those discoveries with others, The Tea House Shop was born online and has become known worldwide as a top importer and Master Tea Blender of the world's finest teas.
